Black Powder, White Smoke

I started hunting with Black Powder in 1983 and quickly found it to be my favorite season. I always
liked single shot rifles and always said "Give me one good shot". So it was only natural for me to take
to Black Powder.

I started out using a T/C renegade .50 cal percussion rifle I bought new in 1983 for hunting. Used
several different guns over the years. Being a hunter I first embraced the modern muzzle loading line
of thinking which can be seen here through the years. Around 2000 I started thinking I needed more
and with the bicentennial of Lewis and Clark coming I decided to build and use a flintlock in their
honor and this experience hooked me good and I've used Flintlocks exclusively since 2004.
