I ordered this patchbox from Muzzleloader Builders Supply. Although close,
it wasn't exactly like those made by Welcome. Only the horse head and the
patchbox lid will be used. Roy will make pierced sides that closely resemble
that of Welcomes work.

Roy did a beautiful job on the patchbox. I'm quite pleased! A note on the
position of the screw heads. Some builders position them in a straight line as
most are in this picture. Some do not, it's really just a preference. I have
asked Roy when the gun is complete, to position the screw heads as close as he
can to the ones in the only picture I have of Welcomes personal rifles
patchbox. Not sure I can answer why but I want it to be that way.

On the release button, pictures show Welcome placed this just behind the end
of the patchbox door in the curve of the butt plate. I asked Roy for this gun,
to place it up top of the butt plate.
